For the best Mexican in town I highly recommend Pepito's. Pepito's has been serving our area for many years, and it's definitely a locals favorite. Monday night is .99 cent Margaritas, and the service is always outstanding. My favorite dish is the Shrimp Quesadilla and I always have them add grilled onions....YUMMY!!
Pepito's is located in the shopping strip located to the left of Old Time Pottery. Be sure and catch a movie at Lively Cinema when you leave!

Landshark's Pizza
Today was the big day of Championship games for the NFL, so we decided to go out for Pizza. We went to Landsharks and ordered our usual sausage with extra cheese and it was good as usual. There was a big crowd enjoying the game there today. As a special treat they even brought out oysters to the buffet bar. There were raw oysters and baked oysters. The baked oysters were baked with cheese and jalapeno's on top and they were absolutely delicious. Landshark's is located in Destin right next door to Old Time Pottery. If you catch it just right you should go around the corner and catch a movie at Lively Cinema. Thanks Landsharks for the special treat today.

McGuire's Farewell Dinner
Tonight we joined 11 of our friends for dinner at McGuire's. We actually took one of our dear friends out before she leaves us next week to move back to Boston. We will miss you Molly, and wish you the best of luck.
McGuires's was the chosen restaurant, and as always the food and service was great. Our table had a nice variety of food such as salads, hamburgers, sandwiches, ribs, steaks and prime rib. McGuire's has a great menu, and their lunch specials are the BEST! My favorite lunch special is served on Wednesday's, and it's fried chicken, mashed potatoes and collard greens...YUMMY!!! Don't forget whether you are having lunch or enjoying dinner they still serve the Senate Bean Soup for only .18 cents with the purchase of an entree. Where else can you get an appetizer for only .18 cents?

Pizza Club
Ok....here we go, I'm off to tell you about our 1st Restaurant experience on my new blog. First off I have to tell you about our Pizza Club. The Pizza Club is just a group of friends who decided to start reviewing area pizza spots. The group started with about 4 or 5 members and tonight we had 11, and were still missing a few. We always order several different kinds of pizza, and then they just get passed around for everyone to sample some of each.
Tonight was the 8th place visited, and this stop took us to RED BRICK PIZZA which is located at the Destin Commons, near Rave Movie Theatre. Yes, it's very similar to most pizza places where as you go to the register and place your order, but you can actually watch them make your pizza if you like. Group census was that this place was definitely in our top 2. I loved the fact that you had several different choices for your crust, and next week they will even have a whole wheat crust. The 'Best Pizza' award tonight goes to.............Pizza Banchetta. This pizza was delicious! The toppings were BBQ Chicken, mushrooms, red onions, mozzarella, provolone, white cheddar, cilantro, and BBQ Sauce. I must admit that when I saw cilantro listed as an ingredient......I knew it was gonna be grand! We ordered it with an original crust, but should have chosen one of their gourmet crusts such as Parmesan Garlic or Chipotle (spicy). That definitely would have put it over the top.
Check out the Red Brick Pizza place at the Destin Commons, or call them at (850) 424-5990 to place your order today.
